Stuck For Life by Gabe ZamoraAs the rain pours down,
My smile turns to frown.
Im stuck in this never ending cycle,
Like my life is recycled.
I try to find my old ways,
But end up on the street,
Just a wandering stray.
I walk at night in the cold,
You'd think this would get old.
I gave it my all,
But its never enough.
My friends say to get back up,
Im tired of acting tough.
Since the game never changes,
Im stuck for life,
In this eternal strife,
This never ending scene.
The stories were once strange,
But now grow old with age.
I know im just young,
So much to live for,
But when its all taken away,
Whats left to live for?
I walk around in a haze,
Ive been in this daze,
For weeks and then some days.
Months it seems,
Its just like,
All of my dreams,
Have been taken,
And ripped at the seams.
Love is what its meant to be,
But i guess its not meant for me.
When i find the thing that makes me smile,
Its stripped of its happiness.
Ive lost all hope,
Ive lost my grip on the rope,
Im slipping,
At an alarming rate,
Ive lost the will to find a date.
The ball keeps rolling,
The world keeps spinning,
So even though i know im down,
I know that i will make it through,
Because the world hasn't stopped.
Life moves on,
And so should I.
I open the front door,
And head out with a sigh.
