Most Folk

by Joe Cramer

Most folk go through their lives

Without ever penning a poem.

I must do so daily, though often unwise

To find a rhyme, meter or some form.

These words to write down, to be shared

Spring forth from the pages of my mind.

(As if anyone, anywhere really cared!)

Will these thoughts stand the test of time?

Author's Note: ... I guess all poets want their work to stand the test of time.....

Oh yes I agree. It is an addiction like an ink and paper monkey. Also true the dreams of immortality are forever on most poets minds especially when reading a poem just written and perceived to be awesome. Nice piece of work here! --bf
