If Your Toes Were Your Nose

by Jennifer Ragan

Do you suppose
if your toes
were your nose
and your nose
were your toes,
you’d sneeze from your toes
and walk on your nose?
Do you suppose
you’d wear shoes on your nose
and blow snots from your toes,
if your nose
were your toes
and your toes
were your nose?

lol Nice one. I received and email yesterday saying that rubbing Vicks vaporub into your feet still works as a decongestant. Did you send that around too?

Nice word play. But there is an important point. I used to tell my kids when they were smaller that the sky was green and the grass blue. My point being that words have agreed upon meanings. They are not preordained and if we all agreed to change their meaning we could do it.
