In My Right Shoe

by Joe Cramer

In my right shoe, there's a squeak

That drives me crazy, if I may speak.

There's something wrong with the leather,

Or at least a subtle change in the weather.

Daily now, that squeal cries out

From my right foot, such a shout.

I've tried all that I could

Except to wear some shoes of wood.

So I must live with my forlorn shoe

Never knowing just what to do.

So much for buying expensive shoes,

I think my squeak was just singing the blues!

This is really cute! I have shoes that sqeak- they drive me nuts too, but I like them, so I'll continue to "sweak" my way until Summer! Good write- made me smile.
