That Window by Joe CramerThat window, where you were looking for light
Somewhere in the east, did the window break?
A fair sun, a jealous moon, is that right,
How much more could anyone really take?
The lady, love poised on balcony high
Waited, so long for some star-crossed lover,
Softly in such a night, wondering why.
(Could she ever love again, another?)
The problems held by such a family
Make no difference in the light of all things.
So much more that could, or yet could not be
Are swept up and onward from what love brings.
From your window high, you shared such a love
As soliloquy was smiled from above. 02/16/2004 Author's Note: ... I was reading "Romeo and Juliet"
