I am poisoned by the sun and
making grocery lists;
trader joe's is cold with a/c
against my bathing suit and my
t-shirt with awkward wet spots.

I will buy pineapple and apples
blueberries and one mango.
I will let the juice drip down
my chin
and watch the drop spread itself out
through my khaki shorts.
I will squint my eyes and not
let sunglasses steal the sun away.
