Rock Your Babies by Jane E PearceRock your babies,
tuck them in to dream
about the moon,
and parties with tea,
.
Keep them from rumors
about the devils plotting
across the sea, to steal
their lives and take away
the power we have to be free.
.
Lord what can we say
except a prayer
as we close our eyes,
and entreat your heavenly grace
to lead us through the fog ,
and doubt about tomorrow's place.
.
Wake your babies, see them smile-
their dreams of lollipops
and teddy bears soothe
a mother's fears as she watches
them grow and flourish,even
with the mad dogs foul, for
the baby has just lived with God
and fears not the growl.

I'd say this Fall in the USA will tell us whether we as a nation have the stomach to face the challenge of widespread radical Islamic extremism. If we don't those babies will be fighting it or be tyrannized by it! |
