The clock ticks,

Tick, tick, tock.

My heart slows,

Then hastens

As I stop.

Wondering, worrying

About what will be

Or what won't.

It's not up to me.

Author's Note: Ever see the beginning of the movie "Back to the Future?"... my house is full of clocks... I've used this metaphor for life before, I rather enjoy it.....
