what's a man to do

by Charlie Morgan

huh? huh? huh? huh?
at two he's talking.
you're repeating.

why? why? why? why?
at three he's figuring.
you're still repeating.

seems we get stuck at three;
all the whys? are yet to be
answered, yet to be spoken to.

so at 61, no whys? are answered
yet still, and yet still i query;
going to the shade for evening.

Ya, the light of the sun is just too intense, isn't it?

A bit of a minimalist surprise from you--and a great one. You've woven some really effective duality into these few words. Dynamite!
