On our couch
Crysty tells me all
the things I should be thankful for,
that both sides of my situation
are less than
ideal,
that I am most likely better
off,
that our friendship has not
changed or ended or stopped
being what it had become famous
for
hours I am awed at my miscalculation,
at my misjudgment,
at my own insecurity and
I can appreciate
all sides.
