The coffee tasted like dishwater,

Funny to me, because I almost never

Wash my dishes in a sink full of water.

No... actually... not ever.

I just run very hot water over them

While I clean, to a tepid end.

But I digress

I must attest

That the dishwater coffee was so bad

That it left me full of remorse, rather sad.

While my early morning palate does salivate

I must admit that I had waited too late

For that cup of Java, that cup of Joe,

So it's off to the soda machine I go!

Author's Note: usually we have lots of hot, fresh coffee available.... I must have missed it this morning!
