Gay and Proud

by Matt Forget

We travel in packs
Coordinated by our prestige self involvements
Interested in nothing but our tactful, yet unique lives
And possibly a robbing clothing line.

We stand united as we must
For the forces twist us into evils
Among those who sin for loss of sanity
Beckoning our genius proud minds we portray

Jealousy we face as we see what we want but can't have
Though we fight for eternal power to maintain equality
Pacing through the darkness waiting for our light to shine
As the rest of the world looks down upon us

Though we don't believe we are those who are bound
But those who look down upon us
As they are those who are jealous
Who else would have the guts to stand up to society?

We rule the powers of our own
Single out no one but the proud selves we are
Enduring the enlightenment of happiness
Never letting the darkness foresee our futures.

Together we stand
Always and forever
Powered by each other
Gay and Proud.
