and mint by Christina Gleasonwe walked three miles in the rain
huddled under a rainbow umbrella,
to buy a handful of sea scallops.
taking turns, we bore the brunt
on exposed shoulders and hips,
gripping the bag like a treasure.
enduring colds with damp clothes stripped,
we stood at the stove warmed in the scent
of muscles searing, and garlic, and mint. 06/17/2008 Author's Note: maybe "i love him in the kitchen" pt. 2
p.s. recommended recipe: seared scallops over arugla mint pesto w/garlic chips.
