That Smile

by James Zealy

I saw again
where the end Is the beginning
and the last is the first
That Smile

Seems like its always
Been a perpetual ornament
Haranging the observer
To notice youthful innocence

That smile exudes natural warmth
Empathy for emotions paraded
In chaotic storms destruction

That smile presents natural ease
When a honey brown boy swings
With joy in her arms

That smile appears even
When pain is manifested
In the direst of events

That smile with a graduation gift
Held center jump high
Grinning even bigger she grabs

While the last is the first
The ending is the beginning
That smile

Oh, just a beautiful tribute, James. You sure sound proud, and it's always an accomplishement. My middle girl graduated this year. Whew. And that's all I have to say about THAT! Congratulations!!!
