a day ending in Y

by Charlie Morgan

outside a world roars, whistles and stomps by.
making black dots on a road map, folded-up.
a suit of quiet desperation donned for life.
shook, wrinkle-free for the stylish look.

off we go, pail for water in hand, gleams
in our juvenile eyes, Adulthood in our view.
lust packaged nice & neatly to appear as love
so to leave them all speechless, thoughtless.

some roofs leak with dead dreams; lost treasure.
a Century is a Buick, for some it is the time
between hot meals, warm baths, loving hugs.
a day's glow is effervescence in relationships.

Author's Note: John asked God why he didn't come down and help us?...God answered that that is why he sent us each other.

It's all about relationships, for me anyway. Otherwise, why come? Hehe.

Ones view of life formed from childhood perspectives and experience--leaves one with cynicism or hopefulness. It is as Alice says about relationships and I'd add choices.
