"Poets are Easy"

She simply could not be found

As I was never around.

I waited for awhile

Like I always did as a child.

As I grew older

The days became shorter, not bolder.

She just wasn't there

How could you expect me to care?

"Poets are easy!" she cried

"No, they are not!" I lied.

So she left me, it's true,

Now what am I supposed to do?

i loved the line "the days became shorter, not bolder" it worked perfectly in this poem.
