My hands closed
around his saw blade hips
one time only

If only I had known

Thumbs torn
forever scarred
by his dangerously
unrecognized perfection
Dangling on a ligament
of rubber band want

He took all of this
floating body of water
levitated it between
his lips and my all

I awoke in Limbo
searching for his hand
to guide me home
