Admonition by Quinlan L GibsonShe didn't say it would rain.
Proclaim the world would stop revolving.
She didn't curse at the flowers not to bloom
or the music not to play.
Simply said she'd leave him,
turn and walk away.
Her siren called the warning.
Her breathing pulsed alarm.
A mantra of her word
resisted his jaded path.
She didn't claim birds would not fly.
Decree the sun would not shine.
She simply looked ahead,
and left him far behind.
Head high.
(He didn't listen)
To her admonition. 06/05/2008 Author's Note: How does she continue to inspire? For BFF Kerry.
