Burnt Sienna

by Anita Mac

My inner city
is at war.
Streets painted in anguish
by some unknown Misery.

I hope you paint like you write. We all have these inner struggles where pathos rules the day. You paint quite well with words. Well done!

every now and then i stumble across a very short poem that i like a lot. sometimes fewer words indeed make for a stronger punch in the stomach and you've done that here. your capitalixation of Misery tells its own tale. well written anita...
