In the random orifice of time (change) by Jim Benz
Q: Do you believe this poem?
A: I'll believe anything with a fluctuating rate of change.
Q: So you agree that metaphors are reversible?
A: Only when time-reversed dynamics are well defined.
Q: But shouldn't they commence from a given state?
A: Listen closely to Mu second part, then ask again.
pause (27:33)
Q: But shouldn't they commence from a given state?
A: Yes, in a random field of continuously changing values.
Q: And why is that field so inflective?
A: These higher order chains tend to generate results with a sense of phrasal structure.
Q: Like the first 20,000 letters of "Eugene Onegin"?
A: No, like the flute and voice in teo-teo can.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 06/01/08 at 12:49 AM Metaphorically change has no value without a set of rules. Without rules not only is anything possible, everything is impossible. It is chaos! That is what you are saying to me in this poem. |
