Failure to Satisfy

by Vikki Owens

I also wanted to be
your pretty little dirty thing,
more than just a silver ring,
more than just a coat of skin,
your own personal playmate,
up for rollabouts in any weather
in any location
at anytime...

Time has put the pressure on,
stains have crept in,
ash has covered what was once pristine,
resentment breeds in absence.

Remember the nights we spent in the dark,
eyes never fully adjusting
we were shadows and touches and mouth and teeth.
we were grime and the mattress and the ceiling and
the floor
every corner of the room was a special place...

Would that I could unfold,
that I could enfold,
I could touch you enough to make your mind slow,
my magic has never been unloosed by you
and you will never know
what you could have...

...a ringing that can never be answered, eh?...i see an object on top but i know the underside too, of the winning/and breaking of one's trust and/or faith-in...etc...and that's the part that feeds me in this pome[sic] is what he/she/anyone who's a butt-head misses when they don't listen to another's heart, mind, try to find their soul, hold it in their hands...good write, heavy but still full o' life...charlie

Too many good lines to quote, and I don't have your permission. But everything after "Time has put the pressure on..." is just great.

When there is question regardless of what is said it takes 'TWO' in order for it to be great! That can take time and effort for those involved to really be willing to work at it. If not it may never work for both and that is the shame!
