Underwater I remain

Motionless

It's always the same.

My listlessness

Overcomes

Surrounding me

Bubbles bounding upward

Set free

Like such small fish

In the vast ocean.

The pain

Waxes and does wane

As I sink

Lower and lower

Into the ocean.

The bottom calls me,

Calms my dark despair.

I know not where I am

Floating down

Underwater,

Under mounting pressure.

I remain.

It's always the same.
