The Perfect Phrases by Elizabeth Hoadleyone sentence
two
maybe more
distinct words of creation
knocking at my door
those few moments of grandeur
as the artist inside peaks through
a curtain of tragic poetry
i saw as i soar
a mindless searching
for that perfect word
in hopes that the world may
open its arms to a voice
that could be heard
so many crowd the so little
in this game of cat and mouse
i catch a phrase, then draw a maze
as the meaning runs about

knocking at my door."--I really like that. And I'd be willing to guess you've answered at some point. Really enjoyed this. |
