if you gave me a reason, maybe it would be worth it then by Ava Blu
you donÂ’t really know it,
yet
because I donÂ’t have it stuck in my voice
youÂ’ve learned to take your cueÂ’s from my moves
but we havenÂ’t yet danced
I donÂ’t even look at the screen when typing these
I look at the letters on the keyboard
IÂ’m looking for us in-between them,
I know I am,
but the only thing there
is dust and dirt
they scramble somehow
as if theyÂ’ve just become loose for the very first time
these letters,
these keys
I let them run away
because I need something to chase
something to give me purpose again
and while I am out,
rummaging around your trash for my purpose,
I finally see my own portrait
lying in the dust and dirt
between the ashes of our thoughts
and I am finally weeping
for no reason at all.
