missing souls by Mary Frances Spenceronce alive
now forever mounted
human bodies sliced and peeled
plastic muscles swirl around
organs heavy
brains split
connecting
miles of viscera
vein arterial highways
reveal the wonderous
workings
nerves
tendons
intact stillness
shells remaining
forever empty
missing
souls
05/06/2008 Author's Note: I went to the "BodyWorlds" Exhibit today. I found it a fascinating display of anatomical interest, yet wanting to know who these people were and how they got there. No names or stories are mentioned. MFS
