Lavender lilies look so pretty.
We see and admire them,
as they are tinted to exactly match
the bridesmaids’ dresses
so perfectly they look fake.
But they are real, living flowers
created by God, however
their natural color is white.

Author's Note: The inspiration for this poem, I must confess, is a bouquet of roses and daisies in my office, not lilies. Using lilies is my attempt in symbolism.
