DANGER! firebreathing dragon

by Charlie Morgan

i pulled out the long, light, dreaded
dragon of Tai Pei, as he chewed fire.

i'm gonna lash him to the sticks that bind
him to string and a two-year old's paw.

'kiiii' he points. life, now a string
holding a fire eating, breathing dragon.

in the air, the dreaded dragon of Tai Pei
that put fear in the small children, wafts.

a dragon that holds-up the airy blue skies
holds a ballon-heart to a kid's afternoon;

his legs, a jangle of flirts with the sky,
as he yells, 'kiiii, kiiii', kiiii' pointing,

the dreaded dragon of Tai Pei, a fire-eater;
is no match for a two-year old's flight of fancy.

LOL! Wow, you get all the exotic stuff with your grandson. Logan and I just got back from the park, with tame old swings, slides, and bouncy horses (and a dadblastedsnagglefragged board walk thingy that was even MORE slippery than my traitorous flipflops that zipped me to the swaying middle before I realized I was no longer on my feet, but suddenly on my butt in a indignant and certainly undignified rush to nowhere) I'd rather have your firebreathing dragon.

sounds about as good as dragons get, and about as good as flying a "kiii" gets!
