Your Note

by Alison McKenzie

You slipped your note under
A crack in the wall
And a lovely song rushed through
As I opened it,
Absorbed the words,
Grateful,
Better delivery than any bucket,
And the nourishment sank in.

Author's Note: It's amazing how innocent words of endearment can brighten any cloudy sky! Thank you.

Your voice arose to the top of the tones that rushed around... and I became addicted to that sound. =)
