i die again

by Charlie Morgan

Patchens was so right; each night i die.
and of a morrow i find the new me, eyes wide,

open for Spencer's knotted expectations,
Parren's breaking the air of care,
Niedt's obnoxious customers service.
death is occuring daily by the second.

Sturrock is banging on the walls
floating down, fading, drifting.

Ricard is killing someone in his pome.

McKenzie has a grandma's hold on her heart
for fear of it's dieing, and being hard.
as Magee's sweet fog tasting of folded honey
eases Skeen's hangover-death, too much love.
living is to die; the full-bodied life is death.

Oh Chaz! I adore this! Sturrock's banging... floating down into "Ricard's killing someone..." gave me such a laugh! And then to see you must've read (and gave Etta a listen) my Pathetic Monday's Sunday offering gave me a warm glow. I adore those two lines too, by the way..."sweet fog tasting of folded honey" assures I chuckle this little gem right into my favorites. Love it Chaz!

Love the "name-checks" in this one, Chaz! And yet it runs deeper than a gimmick - quite philosophical and reflective on our mortality.... d:-)

Name dropping brought to an art form...good read, Charlie

Chaz!! This is awesome, far beyond you included all of us, but the fact that the ideas and feelings from our poems and personalities create a grand philosophical themed poem is quite impressive on your end...always a master with your words! ~JPP

What's wonderful all these years later is that the same theme, the aching in our hearts at the momentary bliss life is in the vast unthinkable truths we are only partially aware, still haunts our minutes and seconds...we are, all of us, in this poem, spinning the same fragments in to places we can call home.

It was wonderful to find this again. I know u are walking with our Lord at this moment in places I can't begin to imagine. I hope He lets u know I'm thinking of u.
