Tonic

There is always this adventure, isn't there. Open the door, and run outside and find that the dreams and hopes occur this time better than the last time you looked at where your feet took you.
The difficulty with being a part of life, is that you actually do have to live it. it does not just happen because you breathe and shop at Walmart, and it will not happen just because you are sweet or innocent or lovely or lonely.
Life is a part of you, the place that is really where you call home, and is never more than a few inches away from ending at times. It is so very fragile, and what you do with it is all that really matters.
There is so very much to live for being just you, being just who you are, being just the person you were born to be. There is so much to see, so much to taste, so much to feel, so much to resonate with, so very much to sink in and make a part of your life.
It is not the glitter, it is not the noise, it is not the applause of the multitudes that make you who you are, and certainly will never make you what you will become. It is that single, unitary inner voice that states so clearly Here I stand, and this is what I am. It is the hand that holds and caresses, the ear that hears the soft echo of need, the eye that appraises and approves, the heart that beats stronger with you near, the rising footfall that is the march of your life to that place you will be happy.
You can never be more than what you set out to be. So reach up and grasp on to the fleeting star, and hold it firm, and never let it go, and never let it drag you away without a fight for what you need to become.
Always have that one thing that is important to become, that dream that will only be completed with your smile, that reality that only happens when you embrace another and dare to live.
Be someone. Be you. Make me proud of your beating heart, your clearing vision, your one singular moment in lifes sunshine.
That is the tonic for the ails in your heart and the path to a different future.
