healing smile

by Charlie Morgan

if we lived in the same city,
i'd be the town drunk on your
smile and dimples, curly hair.

a tangle of care, baby talc
and a sunbeam out your mouth
make me miss you, who i never
have seen, touched or smelled.

a puppy-dog sigh of comfort
releases all worldly worries;
and you look, see through me
and sheep-grin me to health.

all to complete the night,
only to have it start again
on the morrow's morning.

More please. Good tight read. Thanks.

This absolutely touches me, a gentle, sweet and longed for relief. You're a gem, Charlie!

Ah Charlie, you do have a way with the words. What a lucky girl you wrote this for.
