Candle Freckles by Johnny CrimsonBleach inside her sippy cup
will rinse the sun outta
her sinful mouth
While eating other planets
she bit into a star
A cows meaty head
with the body of a student
Her tongue hit the floor and rolled out
like a carpet
Racing down the hall
it left cracks in the floor
Out the window and out of her head
Her tongue has hit the streets
As New York state began to split apart
the boy was just awaking
Yawning with my alarm clock
A dead red bird
sat stiff perched atop my window sill
Dizzy in this new day
I realized it was night
I set my alarm for a reason unknown
to me and the dead bird began to speak
"My eyes glow but do not be afraid. You are
beautiful and remember this number."
His eyes went black and he exploded
Past his guts and feathers
I could clearly see the moon
twisting at the speed of a DMV
In and out of sleep I had a vision
a tongue had come to visit me here
At a thousand times the speed of light
and then to a halt in my bedroom
Inches from my face I watched it
exhaustingly shake and drip
Grabbed my knife I would end this now
No more stench on my privates
not a choice for me no more
Being me I did the always
And slid back down to her
