Block be Gone

by John D Uzzell

Many hours I have spent here
Waiting for the words to return
Trying to think about the way they left
Now it seems I had to learn

What they really meant
And how I truly found them
I don’t know if they were even lost
I thought they’d let me know when

I can tell you where I found them
Do you think that would be wise?
To say where they have been
To come from behind my disguise

I know they are simple
But they are meant to be
So not only you can tell
But for all to see

So there it is
Looks like I’m back
My silly little rhymed stuff
Johnny on the attack

Some really great use of language in this. I especially like the end...the wordplay in it and the imagery.
