Drink Water from a Clean Source

by David Garner

I sit at the window. And I wait. And that’s my main mistake.
The world won’t come to me. Unless, tsunami or hurricane.

I make the choice to own this world. Baseball park and small hotel.

I like video and Mexican.

Paradise for pet salons and spas.

I want gyros by the Laundromat and cleaners by the places you’d get stains.

I want beer and coffee to be sold wherever you may want to go.

Pancakes by the lake or ocean, river, dam, or stream.

I want new ideas to be delivered via neurons and Frisbees.

Sea gulls fly above the diamonds. Oh, what flight and white span.

Fly oh fly two seagulls at a time.
Fly oh fly two seagulls at a time.

Man in black, man in beige, girl in red coat, white scarf, pink bike.

Oh fly oh fly two seagulls at one time.

Fly oh fly two seagulls at one time.

I want traffic to be enjoyable. I would say no traffic, but sometimes everyone needs to be everywhere. So travel and let the journey be alive.

Walk with loads of lightness and belief.

Walk when you can. Run when it feels good. Stop when you need to not only look and listen, but observe and hear, feel and see, sense and want, need and love.

Fly oh fly two seagulls at one time.
Fly oh fly two seagulls at one time.

Drink water from the cleanest source.

Dream to be one with trees and grass and playground rocks.

I fly oh fly next to you my fellow seagull at one time.

Fog rolling in. slow cars on a side street.

Cars buzzing by in the reflection of apartment building windows.

Woman with important papers.

More fog. Dense fog. Smoke from a chimney on an April day.

Blue cab in a sea of yellow. I want to be near the blue cab.

Fly and follow. Fly and follow.

Green and white umbrella, not rainy, not sunny, why?

Man who shouldn’t wear horizontal stripes looks happy though in his peppermint candy ensemble.

Lawn chairs and barbecues.

More fog rolling in.

Bike rides and sanctuaries. Love in tandem.

Drink water from a clean source, my fellow flying seagull.

Take heart in this non-solo flight, lover of air, breath and light.

Drink water from a clean source.

This has a upbeat San Francisco afternoon ambience to it. Very song-like. Enjoyed the read very much. MFS
