Daydreaming Secrets

by D. Xavier Bari

Can you hear me?
I am laying the world out bare.
Not the world you know,
The places you haunt
In the between,

Those moments you remember to forget.

But you don't.
You don't hear the words
That I do not speak,

Those bygones I remember to forget.

If only you could read my eyes.
My weary, weary eyes...

I feel as though you are actually speaking to the reader... I love the line "Those moments you remember to forget" -- so perfect with the rest of the poem nicely done!

It's perfectly eerie to see a new poem from you; it's a wonderful end to my night. Many things haunt us; for me, the things that go unsaid seem to haunt me the most...
