Seed Of Love

by Charles M Harrison

Could I know where love would grow
when long ago I planted it’s seed.
That the harvest of it’s golden fruit
would become all that I want and need.
All my fears, all my tears, all the years
of pain were laid with hope in dark ground.
Yet still seed after seed, year after year,
no twig, or leaf, or love could be found.
When the last of my hopes started to sway
for all my tears, all my works were in vain.
I would spend the long years alone
hopeless in dark sorrow and pain.
The master gardener saw in my heart
my longing and desires through those years.
He planted one unique and special seed
that he nourished with his love and tears.
Now each day when I awake with the dawn
I view the most wonderful flower ever grown.
For the seed of Gods love has become
the most wonderful woman I have ever known.
This beauty holds within her petals and thorns
my love, my hopes, and all the dreams I had.
This great gift given by God holds my heart
now so full of love and joy it can never be sad.

There's so much great affection and kindness in this. I think you did a terrific job bringing it to the page.
