Confessions of a Klepto

by Joe Cramer

In suffering from kleptomania

My hands shake and twitch.

I grab something out of dementia,

Slip it into my pocket without a hitch.

I know better

(Kind of like being a bed wetter?)

Yet when I see

Something in front of me

I want it immediately.

Forget the cost,

In my twisted mind it's free!

(What have you lost?)

So lock up your stuff,

It may not seem like much,

When I come a knockin'

You'd better start lockin'

Away everything you own

Or I just might klep it home.
