a pause in the dark by Olivia Weinkeina pause in the dark & that look
on your face seems quite appropriate
even though, even so
and i am not built for leaving
i said i adore you but words get lost
in the shadows on your face your
eyes & the weather is always relevant
i needed to feel something
you made a mistake coming here this
door will not close & i will not disappear
even though, even so
and you are too good at running away
i wanted promises that i would see you
again but you dodge words, tiny wasps
they get in the way, words, words
i needed you to say something
a pause in the dark & that look
on your face seemed quite appropriate
even though, even so
