Siren's Lullaby

by Maria Kintner

All you boys a-dancin'
All you singin' songs
Quit while the lights a-swayin'
To death those lights belong...

Sick, now with the fevers
Rattles in the lungs..
All the words are mixin'
All the words been sung...

All you painted faces
All the lies you speak
Caught you in your places
Snagged you where you're weak

All the boys, your world now falls
the seas a-churnin' round
You with your charms in shadowed halls
Your words, to which now bound.

All you boys a-cryin
gnashin' at the teeth
You drowned with all your lyin'
Belong now, to the Beast...

Something different is right and so well done. It flows quite well and leaves one hanging on each word. Very nice!
