Standing at Heaven's Gate,
before the Throne of Grace,
did you wait, or hesitate...?
or did you walk , start to talk..?

When God showed you your life's mistakes
did you cover your eyes?
call the truth lies?
did you regret..fight hard to forget..
did you cover your eyes
despise the things you had done,
did you cry, try to lie...
before the throne of God Above?

I cried wait!
I cannot look , why is my name in that book?

His sacrifice, His life...
My righteousness is in Him alone...
yet I groan, what a cost!
I still cannot bear to look...
but my name is in the book, (of life)

I covered my eyes, tried to cry,
but no tears in heaven...
the open door ..
unlocked by Christ!
was opened unto me...
set free, forever,
I awoke...'twas a dream..
how very real did it seem.

There was still time to right the wrongs,
to witness to the lost,
a sea of the lost is crashing like waves against my heart..
where do I start?
I looked up...and dropped to my knees..
praying Lord please, uncover my eyes...
uncover my eyes,
still I ask you, did you cover your eyes?
