Blumbering of a Drunk

by Christopher Shin

I hate the world,
but envy the trivial.
The fact is that
you have what I can't.

And I have what you think
is so dark and alluring.
But don't you see I would trade
everything for the joy you have.

All I have is the darkest moments,
and you have all the light.
Sadly but tragically I am
stricken with my tragedy.

Please let me have what you have,
and let the darkness fade away.

Well done. Those in the dark search for the light and those too blinded by light to know where they are look for the darkness. Nice write.
