Spring Bounce

by George Hoerner

the earth tilts and tickles the sun into longer days

the moon sighs
for she prefers
longer nights

lovers lament
shorter nights
but languish longer
near the beach
behind the dunes

the warming earth pushes
up the green of spring
so spring bounces
the print of poems onto paper

"so spring bounces/the print of poems onto paper" That, Sir, is a great line!

Such graceful simplicity! I love it, George. It all fits together perfectly! - Erin
