wayward gypsies pause, after all
there are four directions
and then some.

and with a sucker born every minute,
they have plenty of selections
from those who need fleeced.

a roof, a house painting, a car repair.
all ways to open your purse,
and drain it dry.

a head-spin and like dervishes
they turn, swallowed
by clear air.
