Watching things change is fun
When it's other people's things.
When it's you, it's like a spray gun
Over all your accountings.

It's always the things not showing:
What's really going on in your life.
It takes assumptions to real knowing:
When it's you, you can feel the knife.

But watching others cope with change
We encourage them to accept what's due.
It may be something rich or strange:
We tell them ... "It's up to you."
