food for thought by Mary Frances Spencertoo expensive for consumption
world resources
suck priorities
away from the hungry
markets are down
oil up
greasing greedy jaws
fattening the few fingers
stuck in the pie
let them eat war
feed on the frenzy
satisfy the share-holders
there is not enough cake
to go around
anyway
04/01/2008 Author's Note: Inspired to write this by an article in the LA Times today about the rising cost of food and how that effects hunger relief efforts. MFS

Posted by George Hoerner on 04/02/08 at 03:37 PM Nice write MFS! But there is no place to move. Before long it will be water then air whose price will rise to meet our demise. Then the oil barons will have nothing left to buy with all their money and those in power will only have skeletons for soldiers. |
