Only those who never harm,
never have to say they're sorry.
Only those who never walk,
will never have to find their way back.
Only those who never speak,
will never have to eat their words.
Only those who send young men to die,
will never have to bury them.

You've burdened my mind,
burned out my mind;
now I'm left with the ashes.

You've overloaded my soul,
spun out-of-control;
I'm living with the past.

Walk away from the responsability,
all they were, were just numbers.
Walk away from the conformity,
all it was, was just a poll.
Walk away from the numeracy,
all it does, does for a vote.
Walk away from the atrocity,
all it may, may come to an end.

You've reaped my life,
rendered my life;
now I'm a hole.

You've taken my years,
suffered these fears;
it's taken its toll.

Laid to waste,
out in the open.
Turned away,
once again.
This isn't right,
this wasn't suppose to happen.
Life's to short,
we shouldn't have die.
Caught up in
all of my emotions, why?
Dealt in spades,
then I'm flushed, again.
Just look what we have done,
would you look at what we've become?
Beaten, torn, broken and frayed,
and growing weaker each day.
Yet we're the ones who still try,
yet left to wonder why;
why do you continue to beat us?
