islands in the sea

by Peter Humphreys

swimming in
the slim deep sea
you hold me
as I
behold thee
swimming in that deep dark sea
as moon bright mist
above us swirls
and on the shoreline
seals stir
beneath
the moist deep
dank dark air
a bark is heard
and 'neath the cliff
a shadow moves
so shy that you
and I
will ever this remember

islands in the sea
phantasms
chimera
cloud cast shadows
on languid sea
yet
so real
to you
and me

This is fantastic... Puts the reader right into that state of mind.

Peter, this sings with great Celtic mystery, fire, earth, sea. Peoples constantly at an edge. Congrats on potd, friend.
