Riverside Poems (One) by Kathleen WilsonI am the day's twilit fields brushed streamlike to the shore
loud with question I ask "why?"
I am creatures gathered posing to adore
"Evening Sky" of watercolor clouds
my enigmatic continuous afterthoughts
returned to this place at day's end I am all leaves
on branches full about to fall
I bring with me him and the sense of many eves
two kisses mark my door "Pomona Valley Ranch"
I know the bed waits like a path
I'm lured by shadows of the moment caught
in midst of transposition whole notes
transforming into thought
steps of sensation at "Green River"
trill with suggested intonation
mountainous unconscious looms above
I lie below brown field and browner cows
with deep blue winter I'm in love
bow autumn foliage to "Mt San Jancinto"
my roof is victory turned upside down 03/24/2008 Posted on 03/25/2008 Copyright © 2024 Kathleen Wilson
