convex (with Anita Mac Auslan)

by Morgan D Hafele

I swear to god this town will kill me.

If I could just
get my head clear enough to focus
on something other than Home,
I think I'd be all set.

But, it's the unspoken
that really puts me off.

It's the way I believe everything
I see in your eyes.
The way that I pretend cloudy days
quench your lies and bring us closer to the truth.

But, I guess it’s just me
looking too deep in shallow reflections.

i like this piece, the rhythm and the flow...the merging of two great poets ;)
