if Eden walks miles and miles in the afterlife
will she discover why she exists
or will the trip be a plain cold walk
with no ending but the closing of her eyes

why underestimate an eternity of the establishment
and at the same time, Eden wonders
how can you ever stop looking, honeycomb to honeycomb
a framework of tasks along the horizon

when Eden is developing new ideas
she tries very hard to make sense of them
but there's only so much ash to sift
and not that many grains hold meaning

she says, you know, it's highly political
like a naked woman who isn't scared
Eden rides the back of a brilliant beast
and slowly she changes her mind
